How coverage works in practice
Covering England, Wales and Scotland doesn’t mean every postcode is served by the same crew. We work from regional bases, so a job in Cornwall and a job in Aberdeen are handled by different teams with different scheduling windows — what stays consistent is the standard of work, the pricing approach, and the discretion, wherever you’re based.
In practice, that means response times vary. Areas close to a regional base can often be quoted and booked within days; more remote postcodes may take a little longer to schedule, particularly for smaller jobs where travel time is a larger share of the visit. We’ll always tell you honestly what to expect for your postcode when you call, rather than quoting a generic timeframe that doesn’t hold up once a date is actually needed.
Rural and island locations are covered, not treated as exceptions, though they’re worth mentioning specifically when you get in touch — access, parking for a larger vehicle, and ferry or causeway timings all affect how a job is planned, and it’s easier to account for that upfront than to discover it on the day.
If you’re unsure whether your postcode falls within reach of a base that can take your job quickly, ask when you call. It costs nothing to check, and there’s no obligation attached to asking — we’d rather tell you plainly if a particular week isn’t realistic than let a booking slip and cause more disruption than the clutter itself.
Booking across regions
Families are often spread across the country from the property that needs clearing — a son in Manchester arranging a clearance for a parent’s house in Devon, for instance. That’s entirely normal, and we’re set up for it: the person arranging the job doesn’t need to be present for the quote or the work itself, provided we have a point of contact who can answer questions about what should be kept.
Where that’s the case, we’re happy to communicate mainly by phone or email and send photographs before, during or after the clearance so the arranging family member has visibility without needing to travel. Anything set aside as uncertain is photographed and described rather than discarded on a guess.
For properties that are being sold, let, or handed back to a landlord, we can work to a fixed completion date agreed in advance, which matters when a clearance is one step in a longer chain — probate, a tenancy end date, or an agreed handover. Tell us the deadline when you call and we’ll confirm honestly whether it’s achievable before you rely on it.
Whatever region you’re in, the same quote-then-book process applies: a conversation or photos, a fixed price, and a scheduled date that isn’t moved once it’s confirmed unless something changes on your side.
